For those of you who don’t know what the climate is like in Ireland; generally, its cold. It may be spring - but its still very cold, as a result, I still need a coat on before i leave the house. The only real difference is that it’s occasionally sunny in the mornings, possibly through to the afternoon, and in the evening if your lucky. The clouds may part revealing a bright blue sky with the odd fluffy cloud perfectly unevenly placed. You could even say its ‘mild’ now, rather than just cold. But still, cold.

I have recently gotten bored of my current coat and I want another one. So I went into the city centre last week to take advantage of the new late night opening in Belfast. Going through most of the shops likely to sell coats at a price I am willing to spend, I did not have much luck at all. I cant find one anywhere. Why is it that shops change everything they sell just because the seasons have changed. Don’t they know that the seasons in Ireland are not distinct enough to warrant such changes. There is never a guarantee of constant warm weather just because its the spring/summer. Yesthat’s never really a guarantee anywhere - but more so here. What do I do now if I want a new coat eh?

I realise I could shop online and I probably wouldn’t have too much trouble, but I don’t like doing clothes shopping online. I prefer to be able to try on clothes, to see and touch them, before buying them. The only product group I will still purchase in the ‘high street’.
